The environment of Villa Ellebore

Overlooking the Dordogne river is Tremolat, a gorgeous hillside town with lovely bridges crossing the tiny stream which runs through it.

You will find several medieval villages and small towns with little lakes ideal for picnics and local markets which are also worth a visit.

The region boasts the world renowned Bergerac appellation wine area.  Many vineyards welcome visitors and offer tastings. The formal ‘route de vin’ maps out a plan of the vineyards in the area. The Dordogne is the supplier of almost half of France’s fine products including truffles, cepes and so on.

Canoeing is possible on the various rivers like the Dordogne and the Vézere. The breathtaking surroundings are very suitable for walking and cycling.

There are many restaurants with terraces in the various villages within a short distance. Or just go on Wednesday evening to the local Dordogne Chippy in Trémolat where you can meet al lot of local people and it is organized by volunteers.
